Frequently Asked Questions for Cabinetry System
What are the cabinets made of?
Our cabinets are made from the highest grade, ¾" Melamine
laminate. This industrial particleboard is totally unlike particleboard
found at home improvement stores and lumberyards. Our boards are made
with higher density chip material, premium glues and resins bonded under
greater pressure to achieve a stronger more solid board. All cabinets
are finished on both sides with thermo-fused melamine. The cabinet material
will not delaminate, peel, bubble or discolor, and cleaning is simple
with a soft cloth and most any popular all-surface cleaner. All cut
edges are sealed with 1 or 3 millimeter industrial banding. This makes
our cabinets extremely durable and very scratch and chip resistant.
I understand the materials, how do you assemble the cabinets?
Most cabinets weaken and deteriorate due to improper fit,
and poor assembly. Each cabinet piece is cut, drilled, and routed with
state-of-the-art, computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines. This
approach is the only way to achieve the quality standards we have set.
Each piece fits together perfectly. Screws can weaken and break even
the finest particleboard, so we have eliminated their use to assemble
the cabinet structure. Our cabinets are machined, doweled, and glued
for strength and longevity. All fasteners and hinges are the very best
available and do not require screws.
The cabinets mount on a hanging bracket. From this bracket we are
able to get the cabinets level, plumb and true. After the cabinets
are properly hung, we screw through the cabinet nailer board and into
the stud wall to insure a secure installation. For large cabinets we
may install optional vinyl covered feet - depending on load requirements.
Why do you mount all of your Cabinets off the ground?
We mount our cabinets about 5" above the floor to eliminate
the possibility of water damage and to aid in cleaning. Cabinets that
rest on the floor also attract dirt and insects. By moving the cabinets
above the floor, these problems are reduced.
How long does the cabinet installation take?
We are able to pre-assemble a lot of the cabinets at our
facility. Most standard cabinet installation takes less than one day.
For large installations and those integrating a lot of slat-wall, installation
could stretch to two days.
What is the cost of the cabinets?
We sell a premium, high-grade product at a fair price considering
the materials, workmanship and attention to detail that goes into each
system we install. Because each homeowner's needs are different, our
systems are modular and priced separately. We do this to increase flexibility
and reduce cost. We invite you to schedule an appointment with our designer.
